The word wellspring means a source - something deep and steady, where life begins and continues to flow. In Scripture, it’s often tied to the heart, to wisdom, and to the quiet, sustaining presence of God.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” — Proverbs 4:23
Memories are like that too - gentle and powerful, flowing through time. They root us in where we’ve come from, who we’ve loved, and how we’ve been carried. Wellspring Memories was born from a desire to honor that flow - to preserve not just photographs or film, but the life held within them.
That heart is what led me here.
Not everything we carry forward fits in a frame. Some of it is found in a smile frozen in time, the edge of a letter curling with age, or the soft grain of a film negative pulled from a drawer. I started Wellspring Memories because I believe those pieces - however small - are worth preserving.
This isn’t a large studio or a busy lab. It’s a quiet room in an old industrial building, just me - working slowly, carefully, and with intention. Each photo, film strip, and memory that comes through my hands is treated like it belongs to someone I love. Because I know it does.
This work is part technical, part personal. It’s about honoring the stories tucked into the corners of our lives and giving them the chance to be remembered, re-shared, and passed on.
My hope is simple: that what I help preserve will become a lasting part of someone’s story. That in scanning, restoring, and archiving, I’m helping hold onto something sacred.
There’s a quiet kind of holiness in that. And I’m grateful to be trusted with it.
